what is love?

cynics believe that love, love is fiction. a figment of your imagination, you know? its like fairy tales told to kids by their parents before bed, like the toothfairy or santa. the kinda things you believe less in as you grow older. think about it, when you were little, you'd share ur candy with ANYONE. no matter their race, rich/poor, the superficial differences; we loved eveerything and everyone without judgement. but as we get older, we become skeptical, we get cynical, a la the partypooper witches in fairytales. we actually think everyone, YES 6billion people, have a hidden agenda/motive in the things they do. so we only extend our love to those closeby, the ones we trust. and that makes it tough for anyone else to break through that thin film of separation; the barrier that keeps our hearts safe. so i guess, cynics must also have had their hearts broken (or betrayed) once or twice too. but fact of the matter is, love, it's innate, and running away from it, could possibly be a bigger problem than embracing it.

and so... once in abit, we have to let the little kid in us take the reins of our hearts and believe. because you'll never know how good it feels until you have it, even if you might lose it. and that's scary, losing your heart, it could even stop you from breathing. but, stop and take a step back to think of all the good things that come along with love and the potential it holds. that could stop you breathing for awhile too :) and you'll see, maybe the risk.. it's worth it.
